On the Rise

This is my first Blog. I hope to have it up and running in a couple of weeks. Check back to learn traditional, natural leavened bread.

  1. EVERYTHING YOU BAKE, WRITE, AND PHOTOGRAPHED FOR THIS EXQUISITE BOOK IS NOTHING SHORT OF “STUPID GOOD.”!!!!
WE ARE SO PROUD TO BE YOUR PARENTS AND THANK YOU FROM THE
BOTTOM OF OUR HEARTS AND BELLIES FOR EVERY LAST BITE OF THE “OVER THE TOP” BREAD YOU HAVE SHARED WITH US TO DATE.
YOU CAN CALL IT WHAT YOU WANT, BUT WE CALL YOUR “SOMETHING
WALNUT COMES THIS WAY” BREAD OUR “SLOW BREAKFAST CAMP BREAD
WITH HONEY.” AND I AM SURE I SPEAK FOR OUR WHOLE FAMILY THAT CAN
EAT WHEAT (ADAM OCH ESPECIALLY!!!) THAT WE CANNOT WAIT FOR
YOUR “ROLL ANOTHER ONE” ROLLS FOR THANKSGIVING. THEY ALONE
ARE ENOUGH TO BE THANKFUL FULL. NEVER MIND THAT THE INDIANS SHARED THEIR CORN WITH THE PILGRIMS.
WE LOVED ALL YOUR PICTURES AND SAW YOUR APPRECIATION OF
    WHAT TABLECLOTHS SHOULD BE.
THIS EXCEEDINGLY AND ABUNDANTLY WENT BEYOND WHAT WE IMAGINED!
(NOT THAT WE DID NOT THINK YOU HAD IT IN YOU). WE ARE YOUR
BIGGEST BELIEVERS, ALONG WITH YOUR BEAUTIFUL WIFE JULIA, IN YOUR TALENT AND FOR “THE LOVE THAT WENT INTO PREPARING EACH AND EVERY LOAF.” AMEN.
    OCEANS OF LOVE,
    MOM AND DAD
(P.S. DAD SAYS PASS THE BRETHREN BUTTER AND YOUR HOME MADE
    PEACH JAM.)
